Continue Our Progress

Because I and four of my colleagues were elected for abbreviated two-year terms, the time to seek re-election is already upon us. With your help, I plan to run a vigorous and informative re-election campaign, documenting my achievements to date and detailing my vision for the crucial work ahead.

Committed To Our Community

Julian’s professional career has been spent working to change the status quo and improving his community and country. Before his election to Cuyahoga County Council in 2010, he was the Executive Director of Education Voters of Ohio, a statewide, nonprofit advocacy organization that works to improve the quality of public education throughout Ohio. Prior to this, he served as a Program Associate for Public Policy and Research for the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture. There he worked under the leadership of Tom Schorgl to strengthen communities by supporting artists and cultural institutions in Northeast Ohio. Beginning in 1999, Julian served as the senior assistant to the Chief Executive Officer for seven years and Liaison to the Office of the Mayor for five of those years at the Cleveland Municipal School District during the administration of Barbara Byrd-Bennett. His major responsibilities included policy development, oversight of research and internal communication of CEO initiatives and directives.
